Celebrating Women’s History Month, SHE DID THAT AND DID IT WELL!
It’s not shocking, but it is mind blowing all the contributions we as women have made to society especially considering how we’ve been discounted and restrained on many occasions simple based on gender. But TRUE TO FORM, we always persevere & prevail as is evident by history. There are sooooooo many women to honor & acknowledge for their contributions, there’s not enough time or space to name them all. Just to name a few for these purposes, I’m inspired and amazed by Entertainment Icon/Actress, Cicely Tyson, at 94 still blessing us with her gift after 70 years in the Entertainment Industry. Most recently the drama series, “Cherish The Day” and the Tyler Perry Netflix movie, “A Fall From Grace.” Coco Chanel, Fashion Icon, whose purses and designs are just as fashionable today as the day she created them 50+ years ago. To tell the truth, anything genuine Chanel is even more sought after now than when they were created and they’ve never decreased in value. Another Fashion Mogul, Tyra Banks, creator of “America’s Next Top Model” has contributed to the careers of multiple models whether or not they were selected as “America’s Next Top Model” on the show. Tyra blessed multiple aspiring models to receive “good” exposure for future modeling gigs as a result of her vision. In addition, she JUST started a new venture with the same focus, MODELING. It’s a Modeling Theme Park called “ModelLand” in Santa Monica, CA. KUUUUUUUUUDOS to you and all of these women who “DID THAT & DID IT WELL!”
As women, I’m hopeful we will all make it a practice to encourage, applaud, celebrate, acknowledge, support other women who “DID THAT & DID IT WELL!”
