Sister Jean, WINNING IN LIFE & BASKETBALL BY FAITH!
Honestly, I don’t know much about basketball nor March Madness. However, my husband briefed me on this current “March Madness” situation. I only became interested when I heard Loyola Chicago is winning because of 98-year old Sister Jean’s prayers and encouragement. He shared, Loyola Chicago basketball team was an underdog, not on the radar to WIN AT ALLLLLLLLLLLL, but now they are a Final Four Contender! When things don’t make natural sense, I use my spiritual eye to discern the situation. Personally, I find it not strange that all of this is happening right before Easter and during Women’s History Month to a 98-year old woman of faith. IT’S A MIRACLE PEOPLE!
The way I see it, at 98-years old, Sister Jean is winning in life and baseketball by faith. This situation brings to mind three phrases, two scriptural and one non-scriptural, “But God” , “By Faith” and “Won’t He Do It!”. The particular scripture that comes to mind is Corinthians 1:27 “GOD TAKES THE FOOLISH THINGS OF THE WORLD TO CONFINE THE WISE, GOD CHOSE THE WEAK THINGS OF THE WORLD TO SHAME THE STRONG.” In a nutshell, Sister Jean is witnessing THE POWER OF FAITH IN GOD to the world via a discounted college basketball team. According to the world’s standards, neither Loyola Chicago nor 98-year old Sister Jean would have been factored into a winning equation, BUUUUUT GOD!
I’m hopeful you will be encouraged and inspired by this modern day miracle in your endeavors as am I, YOU GO SISTER JEAN AND KEEP GOING, GLOOOOOOOOOOORY TO GOD!
